Episode 21: 8/21/24 - Dog Days of Summer & Big Ten Preview
This week we're talking about Baseball. We're in the dog days of summer, and the American League is WIDE open. Every division in the AL is still up for grabs, and no clear-cut favorite has emerged. It makes for an entertaining watch, and stimulating conversation. Can Judge and Soto carry the Yankees for the home stretch? Can the Orioles put the prospect puzzle pieces together to finish the job? We'll see! We also highlight the Kansas City Royals. Bobby Witt Jr. is a force to be reckoned with, and the impact he's had on this squad is immeasurable. Is Sal Perez a hall of famer? Let's breakdown his career as the Royals catcher to see where he falls in that discussion of eternal glory. We'll also get into Shohei Ohtani (of course), the Dodger, The Padres closing the gap, and SO much more. This is when Baseball is at its best; with the season running out, and nothing is shored up yet.
We'll also breakdown Virginia's own Lauren Coughlin and her second win in 3 starts. With the Women's AIG Open starting up this week at St. Andrews, we love how she is playing.
The EPL kicked off this week as well. We'll talk about some opening matches, and what stuck out. The good, the bad, and the infuriating aspects of our favorite soccer league. We also have some EXCELLENT news about one of friends and his career in the soccer world. Have you heard of Calle Brown? Stay tuned to hear all about him.
We'll close up shop today by talking about Favorite Baseball Jerseys. We hope you enjoy the show! We're thrilled that you're here and found us. Give us a like, subscribe, and comment if you enjoy the content.
